Exercise Physiologist play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of children by promoting physical activity, preventing and managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes, obesity and asthma, and fostering healthy lifestyles and habits.


Before we dive into how an Exercise Physiologist can assist in Paediatrics, lets go back to what Exercise Physiology entails. Exercise Physiologist are university qualified allied health professionals who have undertaken a minimum 4 year degree. It is the study of how the body responds and adapts to physical activity and exercise. It involves a deep understanding of the cardiovascular, respiratory and musculoskeletal systems and they interact during physical activity and with different conditions.
